Our Puget Sound client has two immediate openings for Coastal/Hydraulic Engineers with 5-10 years experience in coastal engineering analysis and/or preliminary and final engineering design and construction administration of marine and coastal structures and facilities.

The positions include performing project site visits in the US and throughout the world, assisting with and developing desktop and field data collection programs, processing and analyzing coastal and riverine environmental data, developing and evaluating numerical models of coastal processes, performing hydraulic analyses, developing and analyzing project alternatives, executing preliminary and final design, developing cost estimates, conducting construction oversight, and writing reports. Candidate must be familiar in the use of coastal modeling tools and ACAD. Experience writing CSI and DOT standard specification formats preferred.

Our client is employee owned with several offices nationwide and specializes in shoreline protection and restoration projects such as seawalls, breakwaters, revetments, groins, bulkheads, beach nourishments, wetlands, marshes, dunes, oyster reefs and coastal fish passes. Additionally they execute navigation and dredging projects that include marinas, marine terminals, waterways, beneficial use of dredge material, wave protection structures and sedimentation reduction structures. This mid size consulting firm are internationally known for their extensive expertise in the numerical modeling of coastal processes such as waves, wind and tidal circulation, sediment transport, morphology, vessel induced hydrodynamics and ship simulations.
