Location: Vancouver

Our client has a strong and growing group of environmental engineering professionals working across Northern and Western Canada. We have an immediate opening in their Vancouver, BC office for an Intermediate to Senior Hydrogeologist with consulting experience in both physical and with a focus on contaminant hydrogeology. You will work on interesting and challenging projects mostly located throughout BC and Western Canada. As a Contaminant Hydrogeologist, you will oversee collection of field data, data analysis, completion of reports, manage small to large sized projects, coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams, mentor and coach junior staff, and assist with business development and proposals.

• Work experience with a strong emphasis on field-based investigations in contaminant hydrogeology including ground water supply, hydrogeological assessments, waste water disposal and stormwater management is required
• Successful candidates will have, or be eligible for registration with APEGBC as a P.Geo. or P.Eng
• A minimum of nine years of consulting experience
• Knowledge of diverse tools and techniques in hydrogeologic data collection and analysis including (but not limited to): water supply, well design, construction dewatering, aquifer testing and analysis, field soil permeability analysis, packer testing and analysis, and soil and rock characterization
• Expertise with project management, report preparation, client/regulator interaction and mentoring junior staff
• Proven familiarity with environmental consultancy, provincial and federal regulations, combined with a willingness and aptitude for leadership and business development
• Applicants should indicate their knowledge and/or previous experience within the following areas: contaminated sites, physical hydrogeology, water supply well drilling, design and testing, water resource assessment, stormwater management, mining-related hydrogeology and groundwater modeling
• A graduate degree is a strong asset
