Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist

Location: Vancouver, BC

 

We are presently searching for a Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join our client’sdynamic Contaminated Sites Team intheirVancouveroffice.

You will manage a variety of medium to large sized projects, oversee field data collection, analyze data and complete reports, assist with business development and proposals, and work with other multi-disciplinary teams. You will also be expected to provide training and mentoring to junior staff members. Additional responsibility includes functioning as a client liaison and gaining awareness of client objectives. This is an excellent growth opportunity.

Ideal candidates will have a combination of field and office experience, with a focus on environmental site assessments, remediation, soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapour and sediment sampling, drilling, testpitting and hand-augering, amongst others.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science is required; an advanced degree would be an asset.

.A minimum 10 years of experience and eligibility for membership with APEG BC is required.

.Eligibility for Contaminated Sites Approved Professional registration an asset.

.Excellent technical writing and communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential to this position.

.Previous experience in environmental consulting and knowledge of current industry related codes of practice and regulations (both provincial and federal) is required

.Effective and professional communication skills are critical as the job entails interaction with clients, subcontractors, and government agencies.

.A satisfactory driver's abstract is required.

.You will also possess exceptional time management skills, be flexible, and adapt well to change.
