Location: Anchorage
Our client is an employee owned international environmental and engineering consulting firm with specialties in the energy, waste management, planning & development, infrastructure, industrial, and mining & minerals sectors. They also provide expert sustainability advice and project management support that spans all of these sectors. We are presently seeking a Senior Air Quality Project Manager/Senior Engineer-Scientist to manage a very successful business practice.
Description of Position: This position will be responsible for senior management of air quality projects for existing clients and developing air quality projects for new clients. Work is focused on Alaska and is based in Anchorage. Occasional travel may be required.
Primary duties include working directly with clients to:
•Prepare and supervise the preparation of NSR, NSPS, and NESHAPs applicability analyses.
•Manage and execute Title I and Title V air quality permitting projects, including permit application preparation, post-submission tasks such as responding to agency questions, preliminary permit review and comment, and final permit review.
•Manage and execute compliance projects, including developing air permit compliance matrices, identifying compliance tools and gaps, and air quality compliance audits.
•Manage and execute mandatory GHG reporting projects.
•Conduct quality assurance reviews of work prepared by other air quality staff.
•Lead and participate on teams of consultants providing air quality and multi-disciplinary services in Alaska and in other locations where our client operates.
•Mentor less experienced staff in air quality applicability analysis and permit application preparation, including BACT and AQRV analyses.
•Help manage clients and market services.
Minimum Qualifications:

A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Chemistry, or equivalent.

At least 10 years experience in air quality permitting and compliance

Knowledge of air quality regulations

Proven experience in consulting and/or industry. Focus on oil and gas production, mining, and/or electric power generation is a strong asset
