Our very employee oriented, work hard, play hard, Vancouver, BC based client has an immediate opening for a Senior Environmental Project Manager in their Natural Sciences Group. The Natural Sciences Group provides biophysical inventories, environmental assessment and environmental management of aquatic, marine and terrestrial resources. This firm has several other offices Canadawide. They are big enough to compete with the larger firms but intimate enough for each employee partner to feel that that they too have a say in their careers and futures based on mutual and creative company/employee goals.
Your role will involve networking with an experienced team in the provision of excellent client service on diverse projects in the environmental field. A requirement of this position will be a desire to develop and lead environmental management and impact assessment projects in one or more of this firm’s strategic markets (natural resources, energy and transportation). You will provide a good balance of hands-on technical specialist leadership and mentorship/development of junior staff.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in an environmental discipline and have professional status in your field
• A minimum of 10 years of consulting experience or relevant practical experience
• Extensive knowledge of natural resource management and environmental regulatory requirements and processes with client connections in the Northwest are strong assets.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills enable you to develop business in one or more of our client’s strategic markets (natural resources, energy and transportation).
• Self-motivated, team-oriented leader with a commitment to technical excellence.
